Ingenuity InLighten Cradling Swing & Rocker
Our InLighten Cradling Swing combines two essential soothing tools in one compact frame. Designed for newborns up to 25 pounds, this convertible seat offers both swing and stationary rocker modes without requiring batteries for rocker use. The deep, cradling seat cradles baby in a secure position while gentle vibrations and five swing speeds calm fussy moments.

The ingenuity inlighten cradling swing adapts as your baby grows and their soothing preferences change. In swing mode, the motorized frame delivers five distinct speed settings—from barely-there motion for light sleepers to faster arcs that settle colicky evenings. When you need portability or quieter operation, the seat lifts off the motorized base and clicks into the included rocker legs. This battery-free rocker mode responds to baby’s natural movements, making it ideal for room-to-room use or overnight placement beside your bed.

Compact fold for smaller homes
We designed the SlimFold mechanism after hearing from families living in apartments, condos, and homes without dedicated nursery rooms. The frame’s hinge points allow both swing legs to collapse inward, reducing the assembled footprint from 34 inches wide to just 17 inches. This narrow profile slides behind sofas, into hall closets, or under beds when grandparents visit and you need to reclaim floor space.
The fold doesn’t compromise stability—when opened and locked, the base passes the same tip-test standards as our full-size models. Four rubber feet grip tile, hardwood, and carpet without marring finishes, and the collapsed unit weighs 14 pounds, light enough to carry between floors or store in a garage during off-seasons.

Soothing sounds & vibration settings
The control panel mounted on the swing’s frame offers quick access to six pre-programmed audio tracks: three gentle nature loops (rainfall, ocean waves, forest birds) and three lullaby melodies. Volume adjusts across four levels, so you can match the sound to room acoustics or dial it down for noise-sensitive babies. The speaker sits behind a fabric-covered grille that protects electronics from spills and damp cloths during cleaning.
Vibration activates independently of swing motion through a dedicated button. The motor sits beneath the seat pan, delivering steady pulses that mimic car-ride sensations. Many parents run vibration alone during rocker mode, since it draws minimal power and extends battery life. A full set of four D-cell batteries typically powers 40-60 hours of combined swing and vibration use before replacement.

Questions about the InLighten Cradling Swing
The swing and rocker modes both accommodate babies up to 25 pounds. Most infants reach this limit between five and seven months, depending on their growth curve. Once your baby exceeds 25 pounds or can sit up unassisted and attempt to climb out, discontinue use for safety.
Yes. The rocker configuration operates entirely without batteries or electrical power. When you lift the seat off the motorized base and attach it to the rocker legs, baby’s natural movements create the gentle rocking motion. Vibration is also available in rocker mode but does require batteries to function.
Press the release buttons on both sides of the seat where it connects to the swing base, then lift the seat straight up. Align the seat’s bottom clips with the slots on the rocker legs and press down until you hear both sides click. The process reverses when converting back to swing mode. No tools are needed for either direction.
No. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends placing babies to sleep on firm, flat surfaces like cribs or bassinets. While the swing can soothe babies during supervised awake time or help them fall asleep, always transfer your sleeping baby to an approved sleep surface. Never leave a baby unattended in the swing.
The motorized swing base uses four D-cell alkaline batteries, which are not included with purchase. Battery life varies based on swing speed and vibration use—expect 40 to 60 hours of operation under typical use patterns. Rechargeable D-cell batteries also work but may provide shorter run times per charge.
Yes. Remove the seat pad by unclipping it from the five anchor points around the frame, then machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat. Do not use bleach or fabric softener, as these can damage the water-resistant backing and reduce the fabric’s lifespan.
Minimal assembly is required. You’ll need to attach the swing legs to the motorized base, click the seat onto the base, and snap the toy bar into its mounting brackets. The entire process takes 10 to 15 minutes and requires no tools. The instruction manual includes step-by-step photos to guide you through each connection point.
