Ingenuity SimpleComfort Swing & Rocker | Convertible Baby Swing
We designed the SimpleComfort swing and rocker to give you two essential baby gear pieces in one compact frame. The swing mode delivers gentle side-to-side motion with five adjustable speeds, while the rocker mode detaches in seconds for cozy stationary seating wherever you need it. Soft fabrics and a plush seat cradle newborns and infants up to 20 lbs, and the motorized swing runs on battery power so you can place it anywhere in your home.

The SimpleComfort frame separates into two pieces with a single button press on each side of the base. Lift the rocker seat straight up and it clicks free from the motorized swing stand, transforming into a lightweight portable rocker you can carry room to room. The rocker base has its own curved legs that let baby enjoy gentle manual rocking motion without needing any power source.

Swing speeds and motion patterns
Our five-speed dial on the swing’s control panel lets you fine-tune the motion intensity to match your baby’s mood. Speed one delivers a barely-there sway that works well for light nappers or babies who startle easily, while speed five offers a more pronounced arc for infants who need stronger motion to settle. The motor runs quietly enough that you can use the swing during phone calls or while watching TV in the same room.
The side-to-side swing pattern mimics the natural rocking motion parents instinctively use when holding a fussy baby. We chose horizontal motion instead of front-to-back because pediatric research shows it tends to calm crying faster for most newborns. The swing arc spans about ten inches at the highest speed setting, and the gentle hum of the motor often becomes white noise that helps babies drift off.

Seat comfort and materials
The seat pad uses a plush polyester fabric with extra padding around the head and hip areas where newborns need the most support. We included a removable head support pillow that cradles a newborn’s head during the early weeks, and you can take it out once baby develops stronger neck control around three to four months. The entire seat pad unzips and goes straight into your washing machine on a gentle cycle.
The three-point harness adjusts to fit babies from birth weight up to 20 lbs, with soft fabric straps that won’t dig into chubby thighs. We added non-slip grip pads on the rocker base legs to keep the seat stable on hardwood floors or tile, and the steel swing frame has a wide stance that prevents tipping even when you’re loading or unloading a squirmy infant. The same convertible design you’ll find in our InLighten Cradling model uses a similar two-piece frame approach, though the SimpleComfort offers a more compact footprint for smaller spaces.

Questions about the SimpleComfort Swing & Rocker
Press the release buttons on both sides of the swing base and lift the rocker seat straight up until it clicks free. The rocker will separate completely and can be used independently. To reattach, align the rocker seat with the frame grooves and push down until both sides click securely into place. The entire process takes about five seconds and requires no tools.
The weight limit is 20 lbs for both swing and rocker modes. You should stop using the product once your baby reaches the weight limit or begins attempting to climb out of the seat, whichever comes first. Most babies outgrow the swing between five and seven months depending on their individual growth rate.
Yes, the vibration control operates independently from the swing motor and works in both swing and rocker configurations. The vibration runs on the same four D batteries that power the swing, so you can use the soothing vibration setting even when the rocker seat is detached from the swing base.
Four D batteries typically last three to four weeks with moderate daily use at mid-range swing speeds. Running both the swing and vibration simultaneously will drain batteries faster. The control panel LED indicator blinks when battery power drops below 20 percent to give you advance warning before replacement is needed.
Yes, the entire seat pad unzips and is machine washable on a gentle cycle. We recommend air drying or tumble drying on low heat to preserve the fabric quality. The removable head support pillow is also machine washable using the same care instructions.
The SimpleComfort has five adjustable swing speeds controlled by a dial on the front panel. Speed one delivers a gentle sway for light sleepers, while speed five provides a more pronounced arc for babies who need stronger motion. The side-to-side swing pattern mimics natural parent rocking motion.
Minimal assembly is required—you’ll attach the swing frame legs using the included hardware and insert four D batteries. Most parents complete setup in about ten to fifteen minutes with the included instruction manual. No special tools are needed beyond a Phillips screwdriver for the battery compartment.
