Why it works
Sway2Way motion technology

Every baby has a preferred rhythm. Our Sway2Way system lets you switch motion direction without tools or complicated levers—just slide the selector on the motor housing. Side-to-side sway mimics the cradling motion many infants respond to during fussy evenings, while front-to-back swinging feels more like being rocked in a parent’s arms.

Portability and power
The details

Portability and power

The Anyway Sway weighs just over eight pounds without batteries, and its folded profile slips into a car trunk or closet corner. We omitted the AC adapter to keep the design truly portable—four D batteries power the motor, music module, and LED indicators for up to three months of typical daily use.

Battery operation means you never scramble for an outlet when you move the swing to the nursery, kitchen, or even a hotel room on vacation. The fold mechanism uses a single squeeze latch on each side; the frame collapses to roughly six inches thick. When you’re ready to set up again, the legs lock into place with an audible click, and the seat snaps onto the frame mounts in seconds.

Seat comfort and adjustability

Seat comfort and adjustability

Two-position recline

The seat back adjusts to a more upright angle for older infants who like to see the room, or a deeper recline for newborns who need full head and neck support. Each position locks with a lever under the seat; you’ll hear and feel a firm snap when the seat is secure.

Plush fabrics and removable headrest

We wrapped the Anyway Sway seat in a quilted polyester blend that’s soft against baby’s skin but dense enough to hold its shape wash after wash. The detachable infant headrest creates a snug cocoon for the first few weeks, then pulls off via hook-and-loop tabs once baby outgrows it. The entire seat pad unzips from the plastic shell—just toss it in the washing machine on a gentle cycle.

Perfect for our tiny apartment
We live in a studio, and this swing folds so small I can tuck it behind the couch when we’re done. My son loves the side-to-side motion, and I love that I don’t need to find an outlet every time I move it.

Saved our sanity during witching hour
Our daughter only settles with constant motion. The front-to-back swing at speed four knocks her out in under ten minutes. Battery life is excellent—we’ve been using it daily for six weeks on the same set.

Lightweight and easy to assemble
I had this out of the box and running in less than fifteen minutes. The seat pad is plush without being too thick, and my two-month-old seems comfortable even during longer naps. Only wish it came with batteries.

Great for travel to Grandma’s house
We take this swing with us every weekend. It fits in the back of our SUV next to the Pack ‘n Play, and setup at my mom’s house takes maybe two minutes. My baby girl naps just as well there as she does at home.

Love the music variety
The nature sounds are actually soothing, not cheesy. I run the ocean waves track on repeat during afternoon naps, and my son drifts off faster than when we use white noise from our phone.

Quiet motor, easy-clean fabric
I was worried about noise, but the motor is almost silent even at higher speeds. My three-month-old had a blowout last week, and the seat pad came off and washed perfectly. Dried fast, too.

Good to know

Questions about the Anyway Sway swing

Side-to-side motion moves the seat in a gentle arc from left to right, mimicking a cradling sway. Front-to-back swings the seat forward and backward like a porch swing. You can switch between the two by sliding a selector on the motor housing—no tools required. Many parents find one direction works better for naps and the other for playtime, so having both options lets you adapt to your baby’s changing moods throughout the day.

With typical use—around two hours per day at medium speed with occasional music—a fresh set of four D batteries powers the swing for approximately three months. Higher speeds and continuous music drain batteries faster. We recommend keeping a spare set on hand and replacing all four at once to maintain consistent motor performance.

Yes. The Anyway Sway supports infants from birth up to twenty pounds. The included removable headrest provides extra support for newborns who cannot yet hold their heads up independently. Use the deeper recline position and slower swing speeds for very young babies, then adjust as your child grows.

The entire seat pad unzips from the plastic shell and goes in the washing machine. Wash cold on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low. The harness straps are sewn into the pad, so they get cleaned along with the fabric. The headrest detaches via hook-and-loop tabs and washes the same way.

Yes. Squeeze the latches on each side of the frame, and the legs collapse inward to a profile about six inches thick. The folded swing fits in most closets or car trunks. When you’re ready to set up again, extend the legs until you hear them click into the locked position, then snap the seat onto the frame mounts.

We designed the Anyway Sway to be fully portable without requiring an outlet. Battery power lets you move the swing freely from room to room or take it on trips without hunting for a plug. If you prefer not to buy batteries, consider our Power Adapt model, which includes both a rechargeable battery pack and an AC adapter.

The swing is rated for babies up to twenty pounds or until the child attempts to climb out. Most infants reach that weight between four and six months, though development varies. Once your baby can sit up unassisted or tries to pull themselves out of the seat, discontinue use even if they’re under the weight limit.
