Ingenuity SimpleComfort Baby Swing | Soothing Motion & Melodies
The Ingenuity SimpleComfort baby swing combines gentle side-to-side motion with a compact footprint, making it ideal for smaller nurseries and living spaces. We designed this swing to cradle babies from birth up to 20 pounds, delivering five swing speeds and six soothing melodies without the bulk of full-size motorized swings.

We built the SimpleComfort around a powder-coated steel frame that weighs just 11 pounds yet supports babies up to 20 pounds safely. The side-to-side arc mimics the natural rocking motion parents use when soothing a fussy infant, and the five-speed dial lets you dial in the exact tempo your baby prefers.

Seat Fabric & Comfort Features
The seat pad wraps your baby in a quilted polyester blend that wicks moisture and air-dries quickly after a machine wash. We shaped the backrest with a gentle 15-degree recline to keep newborns cradled without curling their chin toward their chest, a positioning detail that matters when infants haven’t developed full neck control yet.
A three-point harness threads through reinforced slots in the pad, and the shoulder straps adjust to three heights as your baby grows. The headrest includes a plush bolster insert for extra support during the first three months, and it pulls out completely once your little one can hold their head steady. Every seam is double-stitched, and we skipped loose ribbons or decorative tags that could snag tiny fingers.

Sound & Timer Controls
The control panel sits on the swing’s right upright, within reach whether you’re standing or kneeling beside the seat. Six melody options range from classical lullabies to gentle instrumental tracks, and three nature-sound choices — heartbeat, rain, and ocean — play on a continuous loop until you press stop.
Volume adjusts across four levels, so you can layer the swing’s audio beneath household conversation or turn it up to mask a barking dog next door. The timer function defaults to 30 minutes, and two taps of the timer button extend the session to 45 or 60 minutes before the motor and sound both shut off automatically. We also included a manual mode that runs until you power it down, useful when you need flexibility during longer awake windows.

Questions About the SimpleComfort Swing
The SimpleComfort supports babies from birth up to 20 pounds. Most infants reach that threshold between five and seven months, though growth rates vary. Once your baby exceeds 20 pounds or begins trying to climb out of the seat, it’s time to transition to a stationary seat or floor play.
The SimpleComfort runs on four D batteries only — there is no AC adapter or plug-in option. Battery life typically lasts three to four weeks with daily use at moderate speed and volume settings. We recommend keeping a spare set of batteries on hand so you can swap them out between naps without downtime.
Press the release buttons on both sides of the frame simultaneously, then lift the seat unit upward. The legs will collapse inward automatically, and the entire swing folds to about six inches thick. To reopen, pull the legs apart until you hear both sides click into the locked position, then lower the seat back onto the frame.
Yes, the seat pad and harness straps are both machine washable. Remove the pad from the frame by unclipping the four plastic fasteners, then wash on a gentle cycle in cold water. Air-dry or tumble dry on low heat. Do not bleach or iron the fabric, as high heat can damage the moisture-wicking coating.
The timer offers three preset durations: 30, 45, or 60 minutes. When the timer expires, both the swinging motion and sound will stop automatically. You can also select a manual mode that runs continuously until you press the power button to turn it off, which is helpful if your baby’s nap schedule varies day to day.
The toy bar lifts off completely without tools — just pull upward on both ends to release it from the frame sockets. The swing functions identically whether the bar is attached or removed, so you can try it both ways and see which setup your baby prefers. Some parents find that older infants enjoy the swing more once the toys are out of their line of sight.
The motor produces a low hum similar to a refrigerator compressor, typically around 45 decibels at the highest speed setting. Most parents report that the sound blends into the background and doesn’t disturb babies or household conversations. The built-in melodies and white noise are louder than the motor itself, so you can mask the mechanical hum entirely if you prefer.
